The 2026 Parking Reality: Why You Can’t Just Buy a Lot Pass Anymore
Here’s the change that surprises almost everyone we drive: official parking for the 2026 football season is available exclusively to Hurricane Club members and season ticket holders.
If you’re a single-game fan (visiting alumni, a family going to one game a year, a group of friends who grabbed Florida State tickets) you can’t simply add a parking pass to your ticket order the way you used to.
The lots that do exist run on a tight clock. All parking gates open five hours before kickoff, and vehicles aren’t permitted to line up outside the gates before they open.
Rows fill in order in the directional lots, so if your tailgate group arrives in three separate cars twenty minutes apart, you may not end up parked together.
Your realistic options as a general-public fan come down to three: buy a resale parking pass through a secondary marketplace (prices climb fast for big games), park at an unofficial private lot in the neighborhoods around the stadium and walk, or skip the parking problem entirely and get dropped off.

How Do Most Fans Actually Get to Hard Rock Stadium?
Hard Rock Stadium sits in Miami Gardens, about 15 miles north of downtown Miami. Unlike most NFL-sized venues, there’s no rail stop at the stadium.
Driving Yourself
If you hold a Hurricane Club pass or a resale pass, driving works. But budget for the exits.
After a big game, 60,000-plus people leave through the same handful of gates onto the same surface streets, and our drivers routinely watch self-parked fans still sitting in the lot 45 minutes after we’ve pulled away.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft will get you there, but not to the door. Rideshare drop-off and pickup for Hurricanes games is at Lot 44 at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, roughly a 25-minute walk from the stadium.

Public Transit and Brightline
There’s no Metrorail or Metromover line out to the stadium, so every rail-based route involves a transfer. The best of them: Brightline to Aventura Station, where a complimentary shuttle departs for the stadium shortly after each Hard Rock Stadium Connect train arrives (it runs for most major stadium events, but double check yourself to confirm it’s operating for your game date).
It’s a legitimate budget option, but you’re living on the train’s schedule instead of the game’s. The stadium recommends heading back at least an hour before your return train departs, which can mean walking out in the fourth quarter of a one-score game.
Metrobus routes serve the area too, but between transfers and game day crowds, transit is the slowest door-to-door option on this list — and none of it solves the tailgate problem.

Two notes from experience. First, the last 2 miles take longer than the first 20. The surface streets around the stadium are the bottleneck, and that’s where an experienced chauffeur who runs this route weekly earns their keep.

Big Games to Book Early This Season
Every game on the 2026 home slate will draw, but here are three dates that you should book early:
Florida State — Saturday, October 17. The rivalry game, at home, one season after a national championship appearance. This will be the highest-demand transportation date of the fall, and Sprinters go first.
If you know you’re going, book the vehicle when you buy the tickets.
Virginia Tech — Saturday, November 21. A late-November ACC matchup with conference-title implications if this season looks anything like the last one, plus visiting-fan demand from a program that travels well.
Boston College — Saturday, November 28. Thanksgiving weekend: the whole family’s in town, flights land at MIA and FLL all Friday, and this is the game out-of-state relatives get taken to.
